The Waldorf is tired and in need of a facelift. It smells, not of mould or mildew, but of age.Additionally, noisy construction works close by woke me up when it started at 6am.Whilst the accommodation was clean and tidy, we won't stay here again.

I always like coming back to The Waldorf Canberra Apartment Hotel. It is centrally located, fairly quiet now that the construction next door has stopped. The apartments are spacious and have everything one would need; kitchen, washing machine etc. Although not as fancy as other hotels nearby, the staff are always accommodating. The restaurant is decent with a major bus hub right outside.

+ great location- very old, as in I think last done up in the 70's. The bed covers had holes in them. Lounges were uncomfortable and old. Housekeeping was hit and miss. Smelt old and musty. Would not stay here again. Esp as did not learn the parking price until after checking in. Carpets were very stained. Paint peeling off in bathroom. Kitchen cabinets and bathroom show evidence of water damage. Spend elsewhere!

We stayed here for four nights, not as customers of Waldorf Canberra, but as customers of AIrbnb. The major differences were that the hotel didn't clean our room and we never spoke to reception. However we can judge the hotel on the facilities and condition of the building. The building is getting a little old and tired, but everything worked for us the pool and spa was great. lifts were ample and quick, never had to wait more than a few seconds. The room was the same as the hotel, again a little dated but very comfortable. I would stay there again in a heartbeat, as the best part for us by a country mile was the close proximity to the city centre, literally 1 minutes walk to the shopping hub.

This hotel is starting to look a little old and run down, which is not uncommon and not the reason this place gets a 2 star review. The reason it gets a 2 star review is because the put 2 twin beds together and called it a King! I can feel the crease down the middle! I wanted to sleep starfish style, but sadly was curled up on one side of my twin bed next to the other twin bed. Dont be deceived by the offer of a king, when it more then likely not be. Bath was good.
