Can't say anything bad about this hotel. Room and staff were great. Check in and out were quick and simple. Staff very helpful with local knowledge, bus timetables, maps....I walked to the Botanic Gardens, Paliament House and the War Memorial from here.Also close to shopping centre (10 min walk)When i visit Canberra again, this is where i will stay :-)
Spacious, clean rooms. Pleasant staff. Tight car park, but fine for a small car. The 'deep soak bath' as advertised certainly wasn't a deep soak at all. A paddle pool perhaps, and certainly not deep enough to cover me.
Very helpful and polite staff. Good location to Civic, supermarkets etc. And great access to cafes just a few stays away on Londsdale Street. One bedroom apartments very comfortable and well-equipped kitchens.
Firstly let me say that the staff were terrific and location was very convenient, unfortunately those are all the pros I can think of. The decore, furnishing and the amenities at this hotel were quite dated. The dimly lit corridors made the hotel feel like a low budget motel, even though it is priced like a five star hotel. I strongly believe that this hotel is in need of an overhaul, and cannot in good conscience recommend staying here. I mean for the price you can find much better accommodation.
Nice hotel in a strategic location, in the heart of the city. Friendly staff, good rooms, car parking ($15 per night), swimming pool (not heated though), and very good breakfast ($20 per person if booked in advance). I had nothing to complain about during my stay. Will come back again.
