Loved this hotel the first time but this time the air conditioning in our room was not working, on a forty degree day, and the only compensation they offered was a room upgrade to a park view room. After a night of sweltering I expected more than this. The breakfast however is great.
A great hotel for a family holiday in Canberra. The central location - and neighboring park - provides lots of options for eating. Our family loved the generous buffet breakfast. Service was friendly and efficient and we were able to check into our room early which made a big difference. My tip: Request a room away from the elevators. We will definitely return.
The hotel itself looks great! Bar, restaurant and foyer are all lovely. But the rooms are old looking have really difficult to use blinds. My room had two runny little double beds in it. Id expect a crowns to other min queen size beds. The pillows and linen were awful.
It's a beautiful place, modern and cosy. Very friendly and helpful staff. Yet, at breakfast buffet a lot of food was missing and we had to ask staff to bring us more and had to wait a long time. Also, mattresses are way too soft, which caused discomfort for my back and neck. Otherwise, a great experience altogether.
The service is good. The room is very spacious with tea and coffee in room. The bed is very comfortable. The services of the hotel like the pool, sauna and gym are really good. Kept at a good standard for the level of quality as it is a 4-5 Star hotel. I would for sure recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Canberra as it is very central.
