I posted VISA applications after reading VISA requirements on their website and prepared all the documents required. Their staff rang me once to amend a document, I then provided. Our visas were granted and passports were sent back quickly. Their staff were friendly and it was easy to use their services - thank you.
Went around 1.30pm and the was no line. Do yourself a favour and save yourself disappointment by making sure you have all supporting documents. Go through the website for a list which suits your purpose of travel. If visiting a relative, you need their passport/citizenship paper and the invite form. And any old passport which may have previous Chinese visas.Processing does take a while when they go through everything.
Very slow and inefficient. The only person who knew what was going on was the security dude at the reception. Poor customer service skills, poor communication, and disrespectful.
We came prepared with all documentation required, and all of the forms filled out correctly. After a short wait, the lady at the desk took all of our prepared documents and informed us of the pickup date. We then picked up our visas a few days later with out any hassle or fuss. The service was quick, streamlined and altogether painless, just make sure you've taken the time to have all of your documentation filled out correctly and all supporting documents with you and it's an easy experience.
Staff is either rude or incompetent. The only decent person in the place was the guy at reception. There is no point of making a booking it seems as still had to line up once I got there. Plan your trip and visa requirements well in advance as the service standard that is on the website is non existent and they make up rules as they go along. I do realise every country has a right to police visa applications but at least keep an open line of communication as to how to better manage applications. These people are the first point of contact for anyone who needs a visa to travel and I hope the Chinese Embassy realises that they need people who are helpful and portray a better image. Also better qualified would also go as a plus.
