No food and harassing us for using the tables we had booked. On the Friday in early January (not a particularly busy time) a work colleague booked for 20 people as she was leaving a workplace she had been involved with for many years. The table was booked for just after 5, but being a Friday night, some guests were held up at work or in traffic. Four of us were at the table not long after five when a male who appeared to be running the show approached us in a very direct manner and said is this all of you? Its Friday night and I need these tables! His manner was confrontational, ntimidating and rude, and he took every opportunity to make us feel uncomfortable. Even after we explained people were (uncharacteristically) running late, he still started removing reserved signs at every opportunity. To top it off, the kitchen was closed, which had not been explained when my colleague booked. Surely that is something that you would communicate when its clearly a planned thing. If it was my event, I would have left after the first exchange. This would be a 1-star review if it wasnt for some of the younger staff who lovely and helpful. I hope you all find nicer places to work
Busy Christmas period Tuesday night. Wanted fajitas which were on the menu but was told they were not available. No Canberra beers on tap or bottles. Otherwise a good selection of drinks. Margaritas were nice. I had quesadillas which were great. But I was disappointed about the fajitas. Overall a good place for cheap Mexican and some drinks.
The place had a good rating and I love Mexican food so was keen to try unfortunately the food was very average, came out cold after an hour wait and no amount of hot sauce could even help the bland flavor. Very disappointing, the bar tender was nice though.
Not sure why this place is still here. Suprised is still around after all these years. Don't really know what is appealing about it. Not necessarily bad but not my cup of tea. Didn't have some pretty common spirits when I was there.
The handmade Diego Rivera burger was excellent. Cooked rare to order, topped with avocado, bacon and red cabbage. Drank Rogers dark beer from Western AU.Comfortable seating, nice casual atmosphere. Recommended.
