Michael resolved our plumbing problem like an expert. Following Icon Water replacing our water meter, a strange crackling noise started coming from our plumbing, every time we opened a tap. Imaginably, this was a problem in a family of four where every individual has a different time to go to bed and wake up. It used to disturb my daughter's sleep every time somebody opened a tap, which was every few hours, at least. This imposed restrictions on when we started our laundry machine and dishwasher and when we showered. We did not know what the problem was and wrongly thought it was water hammer. We looked up Michael on the internet and Michael came soon. In his first visit, Michael damped the plumbing in one or two places to stop any vibrations, but that did not help. So we called Michael again. This time Michael knew it was a faulty meter, whose vanes were hitting the inner side of the meter, as it turned, making the strange noise. Michael rang Icon Water straightaway and requested their plumber to come ASAP. Icon Water sent in their plumber the next day to replace the meter and the noise stopped. It is remarkable that in spite of coming across this fault for the first time in his career, Michael was able to diagnose it, and this saved us a lot of inconvenience.Michael's rates were reasonable and he accommodated us in his busy schedule. He turned up at the agreed time and was easy to talk with. His initiative in organising the replacement of the meter was very helpful, because we doubt Icon Water would replace the meter, had it been we requesting it. Michael specialises in water hammer repairs, and evidently knows the issue from the "sound" of it. We are pleased with Michael's expertise, courtesy, timeliness, communication, initiative and rates and recommend him whole heartedly for any plumbing job, especially ones having to do with noise.
I have used Silva Plumbing a few times now in the last 3 years. The service has always been good. This time, Michael Silva was able to diagnose over the phone, and tell me how to resolve the hot water issue. He was not keen on a payment, but has certainly won future business. I fully recommend.
Michael is brilliant and fully cleaned our sewer pipes from debris and roots. He showed me via camera of the end result. He told me that the pipes were in good condition and would not require replacement as I was told by another plumber who put an eel down pipes and then told me I would have to have the pipes replaced at a cost of 12k on top of the $750 he charged me for his visit when he said that the roots could not be removed. So thanks again Michael I will definitely recommend you in future.
Our hot water tank gave out on a Friday and he was able to come and see us ASAP. Had the new tank installed by Tuesday. Michael was very helpful and friendly and he did a great job. He was also very efficient and reliable. We are so glad we chose him.
