Tucked away behind Braddon's main street with a great atmosphere & modern, sophisticated decor. I have been here twice & all 8 dishes have been delicious. The mango lassi is a must try as are the indian desserts. There are plenty of vegetarian options in the entree & mains. Highly recommend this Indian restaurant to anyone looking for good traditional food.
Where to start!?Food presentation is the only thing going for these guys!Seeing the numerous good reviews we thought "why not?" but that optimism was soon to be turned into sudden and absolute disappointment!We are a mixed race family who love ALL kinds of food but tonight would prove otherwise.Part of the entree for the banquet we ordered was sweet, sweet enough that even my sister who has a sweet tooth couldn't have more than a couple of mouthfuls.The mains were decent if you ignored the hair which had been plated up to us mixed into it.We got top ups of some of the food (that tasted pretty good) but when we asked to take away the leftovers we were told that that wouldn't be happening because we already got a top up and that meant it can't be taken away. The only food we could takeaway was what we had left on our plates.We agreed and after waiting 30 minutes while the waitress spoke to the chef and served other tables she came back to us and gave us a couple of small round containers (which held almost nothing) and with a disgusting attitude abruptly said "just this one time" to which we replied "oh this will be our first and final time here".To top it all off, every one in the house can't stop running to the bathroom and now all have a long night ahead of them with stomach cramps.If your looking for well presented but average decent food serviced to you by a filthy attitude fuelled wait staff then you should dine at this restaurant.But if that isn't what your looking for then your not losing out on much because there are PLENTY of other Indian restaurants in Canberra who can give you so much more without the disrespect!
We arrived at 8pm. There were heaps of empty tables but we were told that they were booked out. We waited for takeaway for 30 minutes & in that time, one group of 3 people came in & were seated. The rest of the tables remained empty. Food was good although we didn't receive all the items we ordered.
