A place in which the staff use silence to deal with complaints. Some of the ice cream near the checkout has no price tag. When I asked about why it was, the staff bluntly asked me to look twice. Still, no price attached. When I complained about it to the checkout girl, there was only silence. As I waited for response, the girl gave me a bland look, saying without emotion 'okay, I will report to the manager'...feeling treated like an alien and I am Chinese...Their monopoly there makes them give no damn to customer service.
Has cheap and quite good soybeans and cheap peanuts, some of which are mouldy. In other grocery shops in Canberra, the soybeans I have bought have had a large fraction of mouldy beans. Other food in this shop is more expensive. The gaps between shelves are narrow and if there are other people, it is difficult to pass them. The products are sometimes mislabelled (the product name and price on the tag attached to the shelf clearly do not correspond to the nearby products).
This worst terrible shopping experience I had in Canberra. The old staff is aggressive and cant speak any English at all. But the part time younger staff are all friendly. I dont know whats matter with the old women which make her rude and unfriendly. For this reason I will never go again.
$5 Surcharge For SAVING Card!Purchased some random grocery amount to $10.35 and been told the minimum charge for card is $11! Ok I said then just charge me $11, then the old lady said they don't randomly charge customers like this..... later on she added will charge $5 dollars surcharge because I use SAVING card. Omg that's $5 surcharge for a saving card! I wonder how could they ever trick people like this!? I have been shopping with them many times, so far I have been soo disappointed. Thank you daily market, won't visit anymore.
