I ordered a book through the co-op in early November. Only after I sent an enquiry for the order did they inform me the book was not available and that my order has been cancelled and refunded. Note the past tense. A week later I received a notification from Australia Post that a package had been shipped to my address and after checking my account I realised the co-op had not refunded my order. I asked them to rectify the mistake by contacting Australia Post to have the parcel returned and to refund my money. They ignored me until the book arrived on my doorstep. They were then happy to help, but only to say that the book is now my problem, not the co-op's, and that the onus is on me to return it for my money back. After some argument the customer service manager and I agreed to post the book back for a full refund in addition to $100 in store credit. The co-op have now had the book in their possession (they have even admitted they have it) for over 3 weeks. Despite 3 reminders I still have not received a refund. They ignored my request for a copy of the receipt of refund and have ignored my latest reminder also.I have requested that the manager (Christian) not fire anyone over this incident - he alluded to doing so on the phone back in November. The reason for this request is that I would not want any workplace to be afflicted with the staff I have had to deal with (don't worry May I wont state names publicly). I would not wish them on even the worlds most violent and reprehensible drug cartel. So please do the world a favour and keep all of those people in one room and removed from society. If you want textbooks - or anything for that matter (including even something vaguely resembling customer service) - do not use the co-op. Just google the name of your book for a plethora of sites with faster shipping, better prices and staff who are not incapable of doing anything right. I doubt you could find worse than the co-op.So dear co-op, this is reminder number 4 now. Please refund my money, send me a receipt of the action and please, please, please don't fire anyone.

Their phone number doesn't work. You have to call a call centre to get in contact. Rubbish experience.
