Very nice exhibition space. Generally has interesting and sometimes slightly transgressive shows of usually minor artists and local interest subjects. Caters well also for children with a small free craft table and a book nook for quiet reading. Small cafe with limited hours.
The special exhibition on Rome and the Empire was fascinating. The other galleries were disappointing; tired and in need of repair. The Museum shop was brilliant offering a wide variety of goods.
A delightful tiny place in the heart of Canberra. Offers no coffee but great contemplation opportunities to the impressive Ned Kelly series by Sydney Nolan.
It was pretty good for a small place. It was good we went to the larger art galleries and museum in the suburb as it made this museum more intersting as it followed some of the same themes
Nice that it's free to visit. Good selection of art galleries and the whole place is very clean. I would have liked more aspects of the museum rather than the art but can't complain considering it's free. Very friendly and helpful staff too
